There is great controversy about how well weight loss patches work and while some people believe they have seen impressive results, others have experienced no weight loss at all. The basis of the patch is to slowly release appetite suppressants into your blood stream along with other chemicals that will aid the removal of fat.
The idea is that by introducing the chemicals directly into the bloodstream via the skin, more of the important weight loss ingredients will be available which the stomach digestive fluids destroy when weight loss pills are used. By using the slow release patches, chemicals are used to lower food cravings, increase the metabolism, and blockers that help stop certain oils and fats being absorbed by the body, are able to work directly and much more quickly than using other methods.
This type of system works because the molecules used are small enough to enter the skin directly and then into the blood. This is a much more efficient way to take drugs as there is little wastage which can take place when normal medication is taken with as much as ninety five percent of the drug reaching the cells.
The important aspect of this process is the size of the molecules used because if they were too large the absorption would not happen. Most weight loss systems make use of certain chemicals depending on what they are trying to achieve including caffeine, chromium and hydroxycitric acid, all of which can be found in weight loss patches.
The effectiveness of these patches is still a matter of debate amongst experts as where the patches do work successfully; they believe there may be other factors that have not been added to the equation. Of course, when a person wears a weight loss patch there is a strong psychological urge to make it work and experts agree that this is an aspect that is difficult to assess.
To ensure the patches work at their best, they should be stuck to clean dry areas on the body, preferably the back. Wherever there is excess hair, you may want to remove excess hair first on a particular area before putting on the weight loss patch or to choose another area where there is less hair growth.
To ensure complete absorption of the chemicals the weight loss patch has contained within the surface, it needs to be adhered to the skin properly without any gaps or raised areas. It is not advisable to wear weight loss patches in the bath or shower because although they will still work when dry some of the chemicals may have leached out of the patch so the patch may not be as effective as a fresh one.
It is never a good idea to rely solely on one item to help you lose weight but better to use a mixture which should always include regular exercise as well as maintaining a healthy diet.
